PAULA RACCANELLO STORTO, LL.M

Lawyer with extensive experience in Public Law and outstanding performance in providing services to civil society organizations. She acts in a preventive manner, by advising the management stages of partnerships in the various types of management instruments aimed at the collaboration of organizations with the State, or in a contentious manner supporting the defense of organizations in administrative and/or judicial processes. She participates in discussions on the legal framework for the field of non-profit entities in Brazil and Latin America, as well as restrictions on freedom of association in the interaction of civil society organizations with the State, which is the theme of her master’s dissertation defended at the University of Sao Paulo.

Academic and institutional participation
Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (COGEAE) in specialization courses in Social Project Management in Third Sector Organizations and extension courses on MROSC and related topics. Researcher linked to NEATS – Center for Advanced Studies of the Third Sector at PUC/SP. Professor of the Social Projects Management course in the SENAC-SP Territory on Legislation in the field of social action in the territory. Regular speaker at events on the legal framework of non-profit organizations, public interest partnerships , and on democratic rights.

Member of the Inter-American Network of Law of Civil Society Organizations and Brazilian correspondent of the International Center for Non-profit Law (ICNL) for the United States International Grantmaking (USIG) project.

Her master’s dissertation, defended in 2014 at the University of São Paulo, is entitled “Freedom of Association and the Challenges of Civil Society Organizations in Brazil”, under the advisory of Professor Dr. Eunice Aparecida de Jesus Prudente.
