Leaders League Guide 2025
SBSA Advogados is ranked first among Third Sector law firms in Brazil by the Leaders League 2025 guide. The firm was also recognized for its Human Rights practice, an area included for the first time in the annual analysis.
The prestigious European publication announced the results this Tuesday, March 18, also recognizing the performance of our partners in the Third Sector practice: Eduardo Szazi, Erika Bechara, Paula Storto, Stella Reicher, Laís de Figueirêdo Lopes, Aline Souza, and Janaína Rodrigues. Laís and Stella were also highlighted for their work in the field of Human Rights.
Leading the Third Sector and being part of this select group in the field of Human Rights is a source of great pride for our firm! Chambers Brazil: Regions
For the first time in Brazil: Chambers Brazil Third Sector
The Chambers and Partners Brazil guide, one of the most prestigious and competitive legal rankings, included for the first time in its 2024 edition a dedicated section for the Third Sector—following the model already adopted in the United Kingdom.
SBSA was awarded the highest recognition of excellence by the Chambers Awards 2024, being ranked in Band 1. The firm had three partners featured among the eight Brazilian lawyers recognized in this new category. Partner Laís de Figueirêdo Lopes was ranked in Band 1 for her outstanding work. Eduardo Szazi and Paula Raccanello Storto were listed in Bands 2 and 3, respectively.
With the creation of this new category, Chambers acknowledges Third Sector Law as a distinct legal specialty, reflecting both its growing relevance and the expansion of the Third Sector in Brazil.
There are nearly 880,000 Civil Society Organizations in the country, generating 4.7 million jobs, according to the Ipea’s Map of Civil Society Organizations. A powerful force that drives Brazil forward and transforms lives — one that deserves equally strong and qualified legal support to meet its challenges.
Chambers also highlighted the work of SBSA Advogados in the Southern region of the country in its new guide, ‘Chambers Brazil: Regions.’ The prestigious British publication recognized our firm among the leading law firms in Paraná and also listed our partner Eduardo Szazi as one of the top professionals practicing in the state.

SBSA Advogados has been recognized as a leading law firm in Curitiba by The Legal 500. This is one of the main rankings in the legal market. The selection of firms is based on a thorough analysis of the impact of the cases they have advised on, as well as anonymous evaluations from clients and peers.

Gender diversity in Brazilian offices
SBSA Advogados came in second place as the firm with the most female partners in a survey carried out by The Latin American Lawyer magazine to analyze gender diversity in Brazilian law firms.
This spontaneous survey analyzed 34 law firms and only 11 of them have at least 50% women as partners.
At our firm, we have five female partners and one male partner, which is a rare occurrence among law firms. In addition, 53% of our legal team is also made up of women. We are delighted with this recognition and hope to be able to contribute more and more to today’s challenges, seeking to practice law for a healthier, more supportive, fairer and more democratic world.

Gender Equity
We received the CESA Seal – Gender Equality | 2023 as one of the outstanding law firms in the “Engaged and Partners” category.
The recognition is part of a CESA survey that evaluated recognition conducted by both analyzed data from 129 law firms, present in 14 Brazilian states. Among the categories included in the survey were the presence of women in the firm’s corporate and legal structure, public commitments to gender equality and investments in diversity and inclusion.
Admired Law Firm – Análise Advocacia
We have been recognized as an admired firm in various editions and categories of Análise Advocacia. This editorial has been following and monitoring the legal market for 14 years, with the main aim of providing services to the country’s main decision-makers and opinion formers.

We have been awarded the “DNA USP Company” seal, which identifies companies set up by students, alumni and researchers trained at the USP academic institution. In addition to using the DNA USP seal, SBSA is also included in the list of companies that are part of the Hub USP Innovation platform.
Diversity and Inclusion
We were recognized for our Diversity & Inclusion practices in the publication Análise Advocacia Diversidade e Inclusão. The publication brought together data from a special survey, interviews, information and initiatives from law firms that have already taken the first steps to change their cultures and form more diverse teams.
