Social Entrepreneur Award
The firm has been an institutional partner of the Folha Social Entrepreneur Award, run by Folha de S.Paulo and the Schwab Foundation, since 2011. Throughout the history of the award, which was created in 2005, there have been 4,890 entries, 184 finalists and 89 winners. Each edition contributes to the visibility of relevant initiatives on socio-environmental issues.
As well as being part of the Organizing Committee for the Social Entrepreneur Award, the firm supports the preparation of the public notice, as well as the analysis of the legal compliance of the candidates for the award.
San Fran Jr. Legal Consulting
The firm has signed a partnership with SanFran Jr., a junior company at USP’s Faculty of Law, which aims to provide professional experience to its members during their undergraduate studies from 2023 onwards. Founded in 2002, SanFran Jr. is one of the oldest junior law firms in Brazil, formed exclusively by students from the school.
The agreement gives students access to SBSA’s pro bono legal advice on drafting corporate legal documents for civil society organizations served by the association, as well as offering training and capacity building to students.
Pact for Democracy
Szazi, Bechara, Storto, Reicher e Figueiredo Lopes Advogados is a signatory of the Pact for Democracy.
This is a Brazilian civil society initiative aimed at defending and improving political and democratic life in Brazil. It is a plural, non-partisan space open to citizens, organizations and political actors who share a commitment to rescuing and deepening democratic practices and values in the face of the countless challenges we have faced in recent years in the country.
