History of SBSA Advogados
Founded in 2002, Szazi, Bechara, Storto, Reicher e Figueirêdo Lopes Advogados (SBSA Advogados) is a pioneering law firm specializing in the Third Sector, Social Responsibility, the Environment and Human Rights, which brings together the careers of its partners who have been working in the market for two decades, focusing on the field of organized civil society – Eduardo Szazi, Erika Bechara, Paula Raccanello Storto, Stella Camlot Reicher, Laís de Figueirêdo Lopes and Aline Gonçalves de Souza.
Involved in articulation, consultancy and advocacy processes for the agreement of laws that affect the universe of civil society organizations and human rights, its partners were prominent in the formulation of Law 9.790/99 (OSCIPs Law), the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2006 and, in particular, Law 13.019/2014 (Regulatory Framework for Civil Society Organizations – MROSC). They are professionals with a lot of experience in the field and postgraduate professors who teach courses related to the topics they work on at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and participate in research and consultancy projects at renowned teaching institutions such as PUC/SP, FIA/USP and FGV.
ts clients are national and foreign associations and foundations working in the areas of the environment, education, sports, culture, welfare, health, human rights, local development, information technology, protection of children, adolescents, people with disabilities and the elderly, etc., as well as companies from various economic sectors, especially those with a social impact certified under the B system and those that maintain corporate institutes and foundations and corporate social responsibility, diversity and inclusion programs. In addition, the firm also assists rights and public policy councils and public administration bodies that have – or want to implement – partnerships with civil society organizations.
In 2018, the firm created its “Compliance Program” with the participation of everyone in its preparation, including partners, lawyers, trainees, consultants and administrative staff. SBSA Advogados’ Integrity Policy and Code of Ethics and Conduct acts as a guideline for those who work at the firm and those who hire it.
He is an associate of the Center for Law Firm Studies and a member of the São Paulo Law Firm Union.
