Philanthropic Organizations are non-profit associations or foundations, created to carry out actions for the benefit of families, mothers, children, young people, the elderly, people with disabilities, among other segments socially exposed to exclusion and discrimination.
There are several requirements for an organization to be recognized as philanthropic by public bodies. To enjoy tax waiver benefits, one must obtain documents such as Statements of Public Utility (federal, state or municipal) and the title of Social Assistance Charity Entity, granted by the National Council of Social Assistance (CNAS).
Philanthropic organizations, due to the particularities of the legislation that they have to comply with, usually demand legal advice in several stages of their activities, from the elaboration of projects, the documentation of activities , and the provision of records of the resources used.
