Despite the vast existing legislation, people with disabilities face daily situations of disrespect and discrimination in the most diverse areas, such as education, work and employment and health. Dealing with diversity is a challenge that still needs to be faced by companies, organizations and the society.
SBSA contributed to the drafting of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, sanctioned by the General Assembly in 2006 and ratified in Brazil in 2009, with constitutional status, reaffirming rights and the commitment to value differences and promote inclusion.
