Religion & Faith

Religion and Faith are sensitive matters since immemorial times. For this reason, and some other important ones, Freedom of Religion was one of the inalienable rights recognized in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen of 1793, and reassured in key international treaties and conventions since the French Revolution.

In the contemporary world, several legal disputes with religious grounds are brought to Courts, both at individual and national level. Although the first set of laws established by Mankind was done so in the name of God, today, several laic laws affect the Freedom of Religion, which sometimes clashes with other fundamental freedoms, such as the Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Association.

Churches help individuals in dealing with spiritual matters. We help both in dealing with mundane ones, such as statutes reform, restructuring of church councils, disciplinary procedures, wills and bequests, tax exemptions and strategies for fundraising.
